Terms of Service

Plain-language template. This document describes how mmmry actually works, in good faith and in everyday English. It is template text that has not been reviewed by an attorney. Have qualified counsel review and adapt it for your jurisdiction and entity before relying on it in production.
These Terms are a contract between you and mmmry, operated by mmmry (“mmmry,” “we,” “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use mmmry.
1. The service
mmmry is a private place to save things you find, have them understood by AI, and resurface the ones that match the goals you set. Features and limits depend on your plan and may change as the product evolves.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) and able to form a binding contract. If you use mmmry on behalf of an organization, you represent that you may bind it to these Terms.
3. Your account
You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in method secure. We offer single sign-on (Google, Apple) and passwordless email sign-in. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorized access.
4. Your content & license to us
You retain ownership of everything you save (“Your Content”). You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive license needed to operate the service for you — to store, encrypt, back up, process (including via AI model providers, as described in the Privacy Policy), index, and display Your Content back to you. We claim no ownership of it and use it for no other purpose. You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights necessary to save and use it in mmmry (see the Copyright / DMCA policy).
5. Acceptable use
Your use must comply with our Acceptable Use Policy. In short: don't use mmmry to break the law, infringe others' rights, store malware, harass, or attack or overload the service or its infrastructure.
6. AI features & no professional advice
AI-assisted features (summaries, tags, OCR, semantic search, goal alignment, reminders) are provided on a best-effort basis and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are informational only. mmmry does not provide medical, legal, financial, tax, mental-health, or other professional advice, and nothing it surfaces or summarizes is a substitute for a qualified professional. Don't rely on AI output as a sole source of truth — verify anything important. See the full Disclaimer.
7. Plans, billing & cancellation
- Free plans (Intro and invite-only Alpha) are offered as-is and may include usage limits (such as caps on saves or goals) and a fair-use daily processing budget. We may change free-plan limits with reasonable notice.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through our payment processor, Stripe, on a recurring basis (monthly or annual) for the plan you choose.
- Auto-renewal. Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method each period.
- Cancel anytime. You can cancel from your account / billing settings; cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the current paid period, which you keep access to.
- Refunds. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we don't prorate partial periods. If something goes wrong, email [email protected] — we're reasonable.
- Price changes. We'll give advance notice of any price change before it applies to your next renewal; continuing after it takes effect means you accept the new price.
- Taxes may apply depending on your location.
8. Alpha / beta features
Some features or plans are labeled alpha, beta, early-access, or preview. They are provided “as is,” may change or be removed, and may be less reliable. Don't depend on them for anything critical.
9. Our intellectual property
mmmry's software, design, branding, and content (excluding Your Content) belong to us or our licensors. These Terms don't grant you any right to our trademarks or to copy, resell, or reverse-engineer the service except as the law expressly permits.
10. Third-party services
mmmry integrates third-party providers (for AI, email, payments, hosting, and sign-in). Your use of those features may also be subject to the providers' terms. We're not responsible for third-party services we don't control. Content you save from the web is governed by the source's own terms.
11. Availability & changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we aim to give reasonable notice of material changes. We may also update these Terms; if we make material changes we'll update the date above and give reasonable notice. Continuing to use mmmry after changes take effect means you accept them.
12. Termination
You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or the Acceptable Use Policy, or to protect the service or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnity, governing law) do.
13. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, mmmry is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the service or its AI output will be uninterrupted, secure, accurate, or error-free.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, mmmry and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or US $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold mmmry and its operators harmless from claims and costs arising out of Your Content or your misuse of the service or violation of these Terms, to the extent permitted by law.
16. Governing law & disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You and mmmry agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in King County, Washington, except where applicable consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere. We'll always try to resolve disputes informally first — email [email protected].
17. General
If any provision is unenforceable, the rest stay in effect. Our not enforcing a provision isn't a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the policies linked here, are the entire agreement between you and mmmry about the service.
